Glass, Silver, Gold & Facebook!
So many good things are happening here at Green Solutions Recycling, I don’t know which one to begin with! We’re so happy to continue serving you and our environment with our curbside recycling pickup service.
1. We’re taking GLASS Containers! Beginning immediately, we can begin taking glass containers, such as bottles and jars. We are not able to take pane glass and windows at this time. If you’ve been saving up your glass containers, please don’t set a large load out all at once this week. Please, space out the pick-ups so we don’t break our backs picking it all up!
2. Top Dollar for Silver and Gold! We can now take silver and gold jewelry and other items, and we’ll buy it from you! Just contact us at GreenSolutionsRecycling@gmail.com or call 270.293.8901 to set up an appointment.
3. We’re on FACEBOOK! You can now “like” our Facebook page, get more frequent updates on recycling tips and helpful hints, and track our announcements from your Facebook newsfeed. Just visit our Facebook page and click on the “LIKE” button. And, leave us a message on our wall!
4. We will not be doing pickups on Friday, Dec. 24th! If you’re a Friday customer, please hold all recyclables until your next scheduled pickup after the 24th.

Friday’s Pick-Up Rescheduled
We apologize for the inconvenience, but services have been delayed. If you were scheduled for pick up of recyclables today, Friday, March 19, we could not complete the pick-ups due to sickness.
RESCHEDULED PICK-UP DATE — Monday, March 22. Please set out all recyclables then and we will pick them up.

Winter Weather:: part one
We hope everyone had a great holiday season, and that you are on your way to fulfilling your new year’s resolutions.
Jereme was out running his pickup route despite the snow, and managed to get stuck in the middle of the road. If he didn’t make it to your house today and your stuff is really piling up, hang on! We’ll be there as soon as we can.
Thanks for your patience, and maybe we’ll see a “greener” world soon… after this snow melts.

Schedule for Christmas and New Year
Merry Christmas! As the holidays approach, we wanted to let you know that our pick up schedule will be slightly altered. The following days there will be NO pick up:
- Thursday, December 24th, Christmas Eve
- Friday, December 25th, Christmas Day
- Friday, January 1, New Year’s Day
Please, hold any recyclables until your next scheduled pick up. We appreciate your business and your support of our mission to provide a greener Earth.

A Growing Community
Sorry, it has been a long time since our last update, but things have been going so well! Let me update you on some of the new developments.
- The paper we collect from you is helping school children learn about recycling and to contribute to our protection of the environment! All paper proceeds now go to help fund the recycling program at Calloway County Schools. Thank you to Southern Recycling who is hauling and buying the paper.
- Our business continues to grow! We have added several new customers this summer, and we’re glad to help this city and county protect our natural resources. Let your friends know that it’s easy and affordable to recycle! Send them here to sign up.
We love serving you and this community, and we’re always trying to improve what we do and how we do it. To help us serve you better, we do ask that you remember a few simple things:
- Please, bag all your numbered plastics in a plastic trash bag.
- We can only take numbered plastics. No sheet plastic, please.
- We will take your plastic shopping bags, but please separate those and bundle them together.

Our Own New Green Solution
We hope you’ll enjoy the newest “green” solution — this blog. Instead of sending “snail mail” newsletters, we want to do our best as a company to cut down on the production and use of paper as well.
